Hi Again, Yes Sue I have Joseph Bates married to Sarah Hayward as his first wife.. . Unless I have the dates mixed up, I have Joseph and Martha married 1779 and all the chn, born 1779 and after,, and he mar. Sarah Hayward in 1762 and I have no chn for her. I did not research this line .. It came from Simon Bicknell's grand daughter and from the Bates Association Genealogy. So I maybe wrong. Be interesting to see what you have Sue R. However Myla T. claims Chilson was Rebecca Bates mother anyway. If this could be cleared up and add that Michael belongs in this family, would even be an addition to the Bates Ass.
