I use seven email addresses all linked to one Microsoft Outlook account. All incoming messages come into the one inbox. Outgoing messages automatically go out from the main address unless I remember to change the sending address to whatever is appropriate (in this case, I should have used my genealogy address so that it would be recognized by Rootsweb). Thanks for catching this. I had not seen my own message and was wondering if it got lost in space. This has served as a wake-up to me; I have sent several messages to different Rootsweb lists and all have disappeared. I must have forgotten to change the sending address on all of them. So, there's a downside to using multiple addresses within Outlook because you have to remember to change the sending address (actually easy to do with a pull-down menu of all your addresses). The positive side, though, is that I haven't seen a piece of SPAM in months. I created multiple emails for different uses with addresses that are not easily mirrored or guessed at by spamming software. Alice, I've gotten behind on the transcribing, but I'll get back to it this week. I should be able to mail the next set of transcriptions to you in a couple of weeks. OK Frank..looks like this message came through OK. :) No problem..I always try and send Non- subbers messages to the list. Some people just read our archives and then send a query or reply..So I am never sure if these messages do get on the list cause I receive them as TO: Ma- Mendon..
