Hi Everyone, Nice hearing from so many.. even if just checking in on Sue;s test.. :0 David on Jan 17.. I did receive a list message from u. I do believe Alison Franks replied to u the same day.. It came through on the Ma Mendon List.. Is this the message u believe we didn't receive?? I am an area genealogist, but have never worked on the Shumway line As for Smith's we all have one and I do also. I never found anything on my Smith Line. The early Mendon Smith's were Quakers, perhaps in the Quaker records u could find something on that line. Speaking of the historic Mendon dvd I believe it is.. I just spoke with the interviewer and they do have a 4 hour ,2 disk DVD for $19.95.. These are older Mendon residents who speak on their memories, show pictures etc. I never saw them myself.. But willl see the one Myla Thhayer did o Sunday at her 100th birthday party. I believe most of the interviews probably cover the last 100 years in Mendon.. I am not sure as neve r saw them.. If your not local I do not know if they would be of any interest to anyone.. I know they are to Lisa L. :) (Hi Lisa) jBut they are for sale if anyones interested. Yes the list has been very quiet, however I refuse to bekieve everyone has all the data they need on their Mendon ancestors.. Even I have an elusive "Cook(e)" 6th generation grandma.. She just was neve r born. :) But I keep asking and posting , just in case someone else has found something.. And that's what I suggest u all do, repost the same query every once in awhile, someone may have found something since your last query. New sites appear almost daily on the internet and on one of them maybe just what u are looking for , that another found. Now the holidays are behind us and be few months before yards need attention, perhaps more of us are back into genealogy during these dreary winter months. Once again nice to see old and new friends and Cuz's messages.. Keep them coming :) You all have a nice day, Alice List Mom
