In rummaging around some old data files (on line) I stumbled upon this Oldridge family in Fitchburgh (these are the spellings used so I never would have found them without browsing). "Janeuery 6th 1783 we the Select men of the Town of Fitchburgh having taken into our Sereas Confideration the ftate and fircumftanfes of Luke oldridge and his wife and Children, namely luke and lyda and Jofeph and Sarah who came from leominfter last who are under poore firconftanfes that we cant admitt of their being inhabitents which we Caused to be warnd out.
