His house was where the present large. two story house stands, a short dis. from Central Ave. Aft. 1655, Town grant of 100 acres: So. side of Garrison Hill (Great Hill)The present old house is known as the "HAM HOUSE" and the Garrison green housesare on that grant. His 2nd house south of the church , Mt Vernon St. When the Indian War began he made it a garrison, sur, by a high stockade which enclosed the yard, in which he had a Blacksmith shop.
