Hi Alice, The Burch name (and variations) does appear in the Bristol RI Church Records, transcribed by the late Ruth Sherman for The American Genealogist (TAG). I picked these out of entries but not sure how they, or if they, fit in. Birch: Samuel Birge (sic) son of John baptized 7 September 1712 when he owned the Covenant (TAG, 70).
