Sue, In your own work on the WHITE family, have you done any research on the ancestry of Thomas (1) White, the immigrant. I know only two things for certain: 1: He was English and Protestant as shown by his possession of a "Great Bible" which he bequeathed to his daughter-in-law. 2: He was NOT descended from the Whites of Fiddleford Manor- that I can prove through English deeds, probates, etc. I have long questioned if he was related to Edward White of Dorchester since a granddaughter of Edward (Mary White) married Thomas (3) son of Ebenezer (2) White. I have not been able to pursue the English origins of Edward, knowing only that he and his wife, Martha, were mentioned in the will of Smalehop Bigg of Cranbook, co. Kent as "kinsfolk."
