Peggy is right, Alice, the problem would not have been caused by using Outlook Express. And if it was a virus, it didn't come to you through mailing list. RootsWeb has very good filters that prevent viruses from coming through the list. Either the message was sent personally to you or it was just one of those rare "blips" that can be caused by some noise on the phone line. I want to emphasize this because no one should worry about getting a virus or other harmful contents in messages that come from RootsWeb mailing lists. I have subscribed to the listowners' mailing list for several years and there have been no cases ever reported in that time of list messages doing any harm to someone's computer. HTML can carry virus so you may want to check your computer for virus. Peggy
