Hi everyone-can someone tell me when it was that Mendon was part of R.I.? Would there be any "Mendon records" in R.I., or would they have been moved? thanks Rose
Hi Rose: In my travels doing record extractions in the various RI border towns, yes, there were records stating that so and so was of Mendon, b. Mendon, etc. However, as Sue Roe says, the actual records will be in the place the the happening occurred. In some cases, a marriage or death or even a birth "return" would be sent to Mendon for instance if the person involved was from that place.
