Hi Barb, I am known to be famous for typos! So, since the library is only 5 minutes away, I'll double check the records on the dates you mentioned. On Provided Southwick, I have the 1641 entry as well as her baptismal date of 6 December 1639. My first thought was that there were two by the name of Provided and the first one died young. However, Provided Gaskin (sic) made a deposition on 18 July 1695 at which time she stated that she was "aged fifty-six yeares." This would place her year of birth as 1639. I have gone on the basis that there was a transcriptional error in the Salem VRs (which would not be the first one I have found). Oh, the source for her depositon is from the Register, "Potter Family Records,", volume 18: 150-151. I am open to thoughts on that though. Jan Delorey
