Mendon Vital Records show an Abner DARLING born 7 March 1733. Mendon taxpayer records show an Abner DARLING "removed" in 1785. What became of this Abner Darling? Does "removed" mean that he died and was removed from the taxpayer records, or does it mean that he moved away, a normal meaning of the word at that time? Can I assume he's not the same as the Abner who shows up in the Abstracts of Revolutionary War Pension Files with a birth date of 19 May 1747? Or the one born on 10 September 1739 in Middleborough, Mass., son of John Darling and Elizabeth Bennett?
