    2. Alice Palladini
    3. Morning Again, Joan from York Pa. is my 3rd Cousin connecting through our Pickering Line. So we have many ancestors the same. We met about 13-15 years ago here in Ma. while she was tracing her roots, and have been best Cuz's and friends since. My father married a Canadian French girl. So half my ancestor are Can French.. none settled Mendon Area.. They did settle in Woonsocket, R.I. (known as Little Canada) OK now for our HOLBROOK line: (see below) Can anyone fill in any holes and corrections accepted. :) Most of my Holbrook material come from JC Halbrooks who was a dear friend of mine for near 15 years. Any errors are my typo's and burning the midnight oil. Not JC'S. JC never used , b. d. ABT on a date, and I am a culprit of doing that. JC died Dec. 1999 at age 59. The world of genealogy lost a great researcher on the HOLBROOK lines. 1. [MA-MENDON] TRASK & HOLBROOK
    2. Bryants
    3. According to the Settlement and Story of Oakham, Mass., Sarah (or Sally) TRASK was the daughter of Frederick and Mary (Barden) Trask, of Uxbridge. Sally was born 30 Nov 1789 - Oakham Town Clerk Records give birth place as Uxbridge. The 1850 census notes her birth place as Rhode Island. It was probably Smithfield, RI which was later part Uxbridge near the border according to the staff at the Uxbridge library. Sally TRASK married Henry HOLBROOK Jr. (Henry, Eliphalet Jr., Eliphalet, Peter, Thomas, Thomas) 24 Nov 1813 at Bellingham. Children Mary Burdin HOLBROOK b. 16 Apr 1817 at Bellingham James Trask HOLBROOK b. 25 Dec 1820 at Bellingham Sarah Ann HOLBROOK b. 11 Jun 1823 at Mendon 1850 Census at Oakham, Worcester Co. Henry Holbrook, age 59, farmer, $900, b. Mass. Sarah Holbrook, age 60, b. RI Abigail Holbrook, age 73, b. Mass. (an Aunt of Henry) Sarah (TRASK) HOLBROOK died at Oakham, 27 Apr 1870. She was aged 82 years, 5 months, and 27 days according to the Oakham Town Records. -------------------------------------- Sarah's father: Frederic TRASK b. 26 May 1752 at Smithfield, RI, son of Ebenezer and Sarah (Aldrich) TRASK. Frederic TRASK in 1790 lived in Smithfield, RI and in 1800, 1810 and 1820 in Uxbridge, MA. According to the various census records, there were probably at least five children born to Frederick and Sarah. It appears they had two sons. One son born before 1790 probably died young. Another son was born between 1800 and 1810. Sarah appears to be the oldest of five daughters. Four were born between 1790 and 1800. Another daughter may have been born between 1800 and 1810. Some may have died young as there are only two daughters listed in 1810. The border of Massachusetts and Rhode Island changed in those years and they may all be the identical location. Census of Colony of R.I. 1774. Trask, Frederick - 1 male over age 16 (by himself) Smithfield. Census 1790 1 male over 16; 1 male under 16; 2 females; no slaves. Smithfield. Census 1800 page 469.
