Ahaz Cook was born in Mendon in 1790. It is believed he died there in 1840. He married Mercy Walling in 1818 in Mendon. Does anyone have a conection. Also, my wife and I will be coming to Mendon on a genealogy vacation in Sept/Oct. Any tips on places to go and places to stay will be appreciated. Best regards, Max -- in Arizona
Morning All Listers, Welcome Max to the Ma. Mendon list. Max: this Ahaz Cook has been a mystery for many years. I have had queries in the past about him and could never find his parents. Hopefully someone on the list has an answer for you, as at present , his lineage, to me, anyway , is as much a mystery , as he is to you. If that is his death in the Ma. VR'S ?? s/o Esaius. Others I know thought maybe this was a bad misspelling of the father's name?? You wrote me earlier that perhaps he was the s/o Joseph or Jacob Cook and a Mary Pickering?? I checked this and can not find anything that I have in my data. Although I do have a few dangling Mary's. Phil and other Munchies on the list, any clues on this Ahaz?? I did not check HRC as the print is too small for a thorough search. Could someone check HRC for Ahaz, please?? (HRC= H. Ruth Cook news articles ) Max do you have any other tidbits on Ahaz that might help in a search?? Hope you all had a great holiday.
