Hi Alice, My wife and I appreciate your three messages. Maurine, my wife, will subscribe to the list, since Ahaz is her ancestor. Recently we met a cousin, a decendant of Ahaz Cook, who provided the following information: Ahaz Cook, b 19 Jul 1790 at Mendon, MA, son of Joseph or Josiah Cook and Mercy Pickering. Joseph Cook, b 23 Jan 1760 at Cumberland, RI, son of Hezekiah Cooke and Rachel Atwood. Hezekiah Cooke, b abt 1724, son of Elder Josiah Cooke and Mary. Josiah Cook, b 1691, son of Nicholas Cooke and Joanna Rockwood. Nicholas Cooke, b 9 Feb 1660 at Weymouth, MA, son of Walter Cooke and Experience Holbrook. Walter Cooke, b 25 May 1618 at Leeds, England, son of Walter Cooke and Mrs. Walter Cooke. It is believed that Ahaz Cook is a brother to Samuel Cook, b. abt 1788 at Mendon, d 1812 at Army-Greenbrush, NY. Samuel was killed in the War of 1812 and Francis Cook b abt 1793 at Mendon. Alice, thanks for the information on places to stay. Jim Bullock referred us to the list and he also suggested Quaker Motor Lodge in Uxbridge. We are planning to stay there and use that as a base when we go to Boston. Jim suggested that we take a train into Boston and we are planning to do that. We certainly will contact you when we get to Mendon. That should be in late September or early October. Best regards, Max & Maurine -- in Arizona
