Mention of Mendon, MA in the Library of Congress, American Memory Collection: -An American Time Capsule, Three Centuries of Broadsides and Other Printed Ephemera 1) It is recorded that the citizens of Mendon gave 44 items of Shirts, Breeches, Stockings and Shoes for the use of the Army of the Colony of Massachusetts-Bay, which were sorely needed by the soldiers, during the Revoltionary War. This resolution was enacted by a vote of the Colonial Congress meeting at Watertown, MA, on July 9, 1775.
