Alice, Could Hannah Comstock who married Samuel Smith actually be Hannah Read, widow of Woodbury Comstock? My mother had quite a bit of information about our Bassett line, but no references. Hi Again, Janet MM.. This is what I could find on this family..I did not check Mar. of Children.. Can do if your Interested. (see below) >From deductions I see both Samuel and Hannah are not real young when had their 1st child.. Hannah abt. 32. if d. at 72 as VR states. Which leads one to think she could have been married prior?? I checked all my source and find no Hannah Read/Reed that mar. a Comstock. I see they did name their last son John Read Smith. and first son Woodbery. (This could be a clue that Hannah was mar, before ?? to Woodbery Comstock and her miden name Read??) Does your mother have any sources on her work or any clues?? I am sure this would be a great correction in this couples history and lineage and also another correction in GAG's. Can you add anything to this chart.?
