Good morning, As cousin Alice knows I've been trying to connect our Pilgrim John Howland line in order to register with their Society. Just received a letter asking about conflicts regarding the marriage or marriages of Sarah CAPRON, on p.8, #24, "The Descendants of Banfield Capron (1660-1752)" and Philip Capron's brief account of Banfield Capron's descendants. Sarah, b.1732; mar. David SCOTT and had 10 children. According to Frederick Holden's notation on p.8, David also married Sarah ARNOLD, 21 Apr 1781. However, Philip Capron states this Sarah had 9 children by David Scott of Bellingham, lost her husband when she was 60 yrs old and remained widow and was living in 1817 when he wrote his account. Can anyone help with which is correct? I wondered if the David who married Sarah ARNOLD may have been their son, David CAPRON, Jr. who was born 23 Jul 1756? Would anyone have vital records for Bellingham, Blackstone or possibly Mendon which may have a marriage for David and Sarah ARNOLD? The other concern is on the same page 8, #25, Elizabeth CAPRON, b.abt 1733.d.1798; m. Elkanah SPEAR 17 May 1750 and had 8 children. Philip CAPRON stated this Elizabeth mar. Elkanah Spear of Cumberland.They had 3 children, Elkanah died of small pos in the French wars in Canada and Elizabeth married for 2nd husband, Seth HALL of Bellingham. Again, if someone has vital records could you please check to see if Elizabeth married Seth HALL. Unfortunately, no date was given for their marriage. CAPRON request Morning Joan and All Listers, Just quickly here as for VR'S , I am sadly lacking on this Capron/Scott line. However David SCOTT as far as I can see married only once Sarah CAPRON,, It was their son DAVID that married Sarah ARNOLD . I have the same data as you on Elizabeth Capron says she married El. Spear and 2nd Seth Hall. I haven't any dates either..
