Hi Joan, Ok- tackled the other email first- the Capron-Scot-Arnold-Spear-Hall info. First- found nothing in Mendon published VRs- also checked Wrentham as Bellingham was an early part of that (as well as Dedham but don't have access to those at our local library). So, all the information will be from: Vital Records of Bellingham, Massachusetts To The Year 1850, published at Boston MA in 1904. David and Sarah (Capron) Scott- can find no marriage nor intentions of marriage- did find seven children listed in the VRs: p. 57: Scott, David, son of David & Sarah, July 23, 1756 Ichabod (twin), November 10, 1767 Joanna, October 25, 1762 p. 58: Scott, Leah, February 1, 1765 Mary, February 26, 1754 Patience (twin), November 10, 1767 Sarah, September 22, 1760. p. 141: Scott, David, Jr. and Mrs. Sarah Arnold, int. Apr 21, 1781- the cite is PR1 which is a private record from Wight Diary 1755-1849 kept by Samuel Wight and his daughters now in possession of Town Clerk. p. 248 (deaths): Scot, David, Feb 1, 1782- cite is PR1 Scoott, David, Apr 28, 1846 - cite is PR 1 I found no entry for the death of a Sarah Scott under any variation of Scott. My sense is that David Scot, Jr. who married Sarah Arnold is probably the son of the senior David and Sarah- He would still use the designation, "Jr" since I presume it was his father who died the year following his marriage. However, without a probate record or definitive deeds- just a guess. On the Elizabeth Capron-Elkanah Spear-Seth Hall thing. I could only find the following: p. 146: Spear, Elisabeth, wid (int omits wid) of Cumberland and Seth Hall, widr (int omits widr), Dec 17, 1761. I would imagine that the missing marriages and children would be found in the RI records- again, we don't have these at our local library. If someone else does not have access to Arnold's records and can help, remind me so when I go to AAS again, I can check for you. Jan
