    1. [MA-MENDON] Version 1.01 of George Aldrich 5
    2. W. David Samuelsen
    3. http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~aldrich/george5/ Version 1.01 now online. Please notice the sources. When there are one or more sources, they are all listed. FHL is Family History Library C or M at the start of a batch number is a direct extraction from actual records by the volunteers in the LDS Church extraction program. I printed out more than 9000 marriage records from the IGI/LDS Ordinance Option. There is large number of the "M" entries. They will be added as time permit. I hauled home more than 750 pages of about 13 marriages per page. Keep in mind some are duplicates done at different times. Only the earliest LDS dates are valid and they will be recorded. The entries that have been extracted from the actual records will be recorded instead of other type of sources. The GAG is a secondary source since A. James Aldrich didn't list his sources. The IGI/LDS Ordinance sources are primarily secondary sources unless the C or M numbers are listed. The LDS dates listed in IGI/LDS are primary sources but only the earliest dates are valid. The sources of the LDS dates are included. There will always be multiple sources. W. David Samuelsen

Juno recently had an offer for JUNO PLATINUM where the first 250 hours are free and then it's $9.95/month. There also used to be a NETZERO outfit that was free for both e-mail and internet service. Can' think of any others beyond that. It might be worthwhile to check the above providers or just plain surf the internet for e-mail providers. Tom

    1. Re: [MA-MENDON] trying to get clear on Martha Aldrich
    2. Hi W. David, In my original reply to you, I mistakenly gave the year of birth for Martha Aldrich, daughter of Peter and Esther, as 1779 when it should have been 1749. I can't say for sure if this was the mother of Susanna Bryce - only that it is a possibility. And, of course, the inclusion of the marriage of Peter Aldrich, Jr. to Esther Comstock was only to give further information if this is the correct Martha. Sorry for mistyping the year the first time round. Janet

    1. [MA-MENDON] George Aldrich family
    2. W. David Samuelsen
    3. http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~aldrich/george5/ (no link from the home page!) Covers only first 5 generations from George. check it out and supply any missing information and any sources to back up any piece of information. Errors if known, please do let me know so corrections can be made. Source information that I have on hand are listed. As sources are located, they will be listed in timely manner. The changes will be noticed by "Version 1.0" being the beginning. As each generation is checked and completed, I will make major update. That include the female lines!! And lastly, for the LDS members who are of the family, the earliest known dates are listed. If blank - do NOT try to proceed to do so at all for a very good reason! The dates if any have to be verified. (too many duplicated work.) David

    1. Re: [MA-MENDON] Susannah Bryce
    2. David, The cite for the birth of "Susanna Bryce, daughter of Martha Aldrich, born July 2, 1774" is: Vital Records of Northbridge, Massachusetts To The Year 1850, [Boston MA, 1916], 26. Inasmuch as Northbridge was set off from Uxbridge, it might well be that Martha Aldrich is the same born at Uxbridge, daughter of Peter and Esther Aldrich, July 25, 1779. Peter Aldrich, Jr. married (int.) Esther Comstock of Providence on Feb 8, 1745/6 The cite for the above is: Vital Records of Uxbridge Massachusetts To The Year 1850, [Boston, 1916], 17 (birth); 202 (marriage). I did not find a marriage nor death for the Martha Aldrich in the Uxbridge records. Jan Delorey

    2. Hi! In Northbridge, MA vital records.... Susanna Bryce, daughter of Martha Aldrich, born 2 July 1774. In the marriages there is a Martha Aldrich and Barnabas Aldrich marrying 26 Nov. 1778 in Mendon... Could be the Martha who was the mother of Susanna.
