It seems pretty clear that Jacob^4 Aldrich's daughter Mary married John Bennet(t). William Rawson did marry an Aldrich in 1760 at Uxbridge, but it was Desire, not Mary. Mention of Mendon, MA in the Library of Congress, American Memory Collection: -An American Time Capsule, Three Centuries of Broadsides and Other Printed Ephemera 1) It is recorded that the citizens of Mendon gave 44 items of Shirts, Breeches, Stockings and Shoes for the use of the Army of the Colony of Massachusetts-Bay, which were sorely needed by the soldiers, during the Revoltionary War. Know this is a know thread, (for & against) however was just wondering, where you asked.. We did get your weather en-masse. and today we are expecting severe storms and torrential rains.. However still HOT. Alice [email protected] - Message From Massachusetts From: "W. The living are listed but NO other data - only the names. Few are supplying the missing lines and information to add to the database. I have a serious question - Alice you can contact Allison if she is still without computer access. Which one did Mary (daughter of Jacob[4] and Joanna Bartlett) marry? John Bennett - 4 Dec 1760 in Uxbridge as stated in GAG vol. 1, listing children as well. -OR- William Rawson abt 1760 in Uxbridge as claimed by one submitter. This submitter sent in his to the Pedigree Resources File (successor to the Ancestral File, and not merged with others). Now it's hot here.

Also added Place names added to Name Index to help identifying your people. As for Abel (1741) with Dorcas Cartwright situation. I have Abel (5) with Elizabeth Aldrich, Dorcas Cartwright (unmarried), & Uranah Sprague. Until we know for sure otherwise, we will leave at that. Some have wills added to sources. I am working to add others, time permitting. one is http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~aldrich/george6/aqwg04.htm#176 David Samuelsen

Hi Jan F. and all listers. WOW! that was quite a spreadsheet and think maybe included every Darling, one would ever want to find. :) Thanks so much for sending , Jan F. I did find one Ethan but his marriage date does not coincide with Mary Darlings death records that says died at 81 yrs. 1873. The mar. date for Ethan is 3 Oct. 1803. He was married in Marlboro Ma. to Mary Hapgood.. Does anyone have the Marlboro Vital records?? I would like to see if a dau, Mary Darling was b, to this couple or any couple abt. 1792/93 and any dates of births. The date of birth, LDS where I also went to look says Ethan Darling b. 13 Mar. 1780 in Marlboro. Mary Hapgood b. 20 Nov. 1780 in Marlboro also she died 2 July 1868. Mary Darling w/m Melatiah Knowlton was also listed but no date on the marriage. :( Also looking for Melatiah KNOWLTON'S birth and line. Thanks Again. Norma, Unfortunately, I only have selected copies (those listed at the end of the marriage record)- but, since Nicholas Trask was a witness to the marriage of Daniel Southwick, it is very possible that his is also in the complete Smithfield records. A couple of thoughts- if you have access to LDS, you might want to look at the film # or write to the Rhode Island Historical Society which, I believe, is a repository for the Smithfield records. Jan
Do you have any reference to a marriage for Nicholas Trask (born 26 Mar 1677, the son of John and Abigaile {Parkman} Trask in the Smithfield marriage records? Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks Norma

Morning All Listers, After many years of searching for my Knowlton line, I finally got a breakthrough on Melatiahs Knowlton's wife Mary. She is Mary DARLING d/o Ethan DARLING. and she died at age 81 , 1-3-1873 in Sciuate, R.I. b abt. 1792/93. (as per Scuiate.R.I. death record) This couple had quite a few of their children in Mendon, Ma, my ancestor Hannah Knowlton for one. b. 1817. Does anyone have anything on ETHAN DARLING, most likely R.I. or near by Ma. DARLING was a big Mendon name. I am so anxious to see now what other area family names I am related too. :) Darling, is a new name for me. Not a big find, but exciting never the less. Any help on this Darling line would sure be appreciated. TIA Alice
