Do you know of any free 1930 census index and how to utilize to obtain series, roll, page #'s to send in ? Walt You have to actually to to the National Archives or one of its branch offices to look up the records and there is the consideration of valuable time, gas and copying charges. I also thought the $199 was steep, Walt, but when you consider not only the above, but the fact that when I go to my state vitals archive to do research, they charge $9 per hour for research fees and I generally cannot leave there without paying at least $27 for three hours and sometimes it costs almost double that if I remain for the entire 5 1/2 hour period that they are open daily..........and that's just one day out of the year. Having Ancestry always available at home is a real convenience.

    3. Alot of your libraries has Ancestry available at the library for your use free. And there is no cost if your library has it available. Most libraries has Heritage Quest that you can access from your home computer. Saves a lot of money and time too. ----- Original Message ----- From: <MSCATE@aol.com> To: <MA-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 22, 2005 10:45 AM Subject: Re: [MA-CENSUS-LOOKUP] 1900 look up > In a message dated 3/22/2005 1:21:57 PM Eastern Standard Time, > WaltIrish@comcast.net writes: > Thanks for your interest / help. $199 subscription is > pretty steep.
