Myra, There were 3 Michael DUFFYs listed in the 1910 Heritage Quest index in Essex County. Two of them were age 57 and 60. The closest one in age was a 38 yr. old living in the home of Thomas and Annie Costello in the 5th ward of Lynn. He's designated as brother-in-law of Thomas. There are 21 other Michael DUFFYs, b. Ireland indexed in other counties. The 1920 index is showing results for 18 Michael DUFFYs---2 in Essex Co. One is 64 yrs. old and the other one is 41 yrs. old living in the 4th Ward of Salem but he immigrated in 1895 and has a wife, Joanna. No children in the household. Do either of these sound like a possibility?
