I am hoping someone on this list knows some 50 year old Mass. history and can give me direction. Some of my family were the Clarence Hoag family, who were quite wealthy. They had a fire destroy their castle-like home in the 1950s or 1960s, and I am interested in learning about it, where & when it occurred, and then in contacting a local newspaper to retrieve an article with address and family particulars. Although it seems just like the other day, I just realized it perhaps was 50 years ago. Sheeez! Can anyone please dig up any info on the fire? It's mostly a gift for my Aunt & Uncle, and they would really enjoy clarifying all the stories they tell. I'm just trying to figure how they fit into our family tree, and scouring the earth for some other connections to Newfoundland. Thanks ever so much on this lovely Easter Sunday. Candi
