Hi Sue, Thanks for the help. I guess the one that would be most likely to be "my Edward" would be if any of the towns you mentioned are closer or closer to Worcester (the town) than the others. Edward and Ellen's son Thomas turns up in Worcester in 1863 (and appears to be alone-according to the city directory)at age 15. He enlisted in the civil war while living in Worcester the next year at age 16. I thought I would post it here in case you aren't familiar with the area (nor I) to know which towns are closer.
