Dear Genealogists, I am searching for any information that may be out there on the parents/ancestors of Helen McGurran,my maternal grandmother,who was born on Nov.13,1895 in Lawrence,Massachusetts. I am not sure if this is the exact spelling of the surname. She had a sister named Grace. Their parents died when they were very young and they were raised by their aunt Ellen Hewett in Lawrence,Mass. untill they were married, also in Lawrence,Mass. My grandmother Helen McGurran,married Francis [Frank] Cordingley who was born in Methuen around 1891, and they had two daughters, Helen,b.6/24/1914 and Frances Monica Cordingley b. 2/13/1919, both born in Lawrence,Mass. Everything about my grandparents seems to center around Lawrence,Mass.,but I run into a dead-end when I reach my great grandparents.
