    3. Hi Susan... How nice of you to offer to look up things for me! I'am so impressed with how nice everyone on these lists are! My grandfather, Charles Sumner Simington, was actually born in Monmouth, Illinois in 1878. My brick wall is his father, Edwin Clarence Simington born about 1853. I tried to get a birth certificate for him from Massachusettes but they had "no record". Family story is that was where he was born, but I'm thinking maybe he was really born in Illinois. He married Catherine Frazell in 1877 in Illinois. I have been able to get quite a bit of information on her (the Frazell's) but nothing on him! I'm trying to find out who his (Edwin's) parents are and where they are from, etc. I have him living in Monmouth, Illinois when my grandfather was born, but I lose him before and after that. Anything you can find out would be most appreciated!!!
