1900 MA Census: Essex County, MA There is an Augusta Littlefield, widow, age 56 born in Maine, living in Essex County, City of Lynn at 68 Newhall Street. She is listed as the Mother-in-Law in the household of Stephen Howe, age 34, born in MA, occupation baker; wife's name is Maude, age 26, born MA; and a son's name is Maynard, nine months old. There is also a servant in the household whose name I cannot make out. It may be of interest that on the same page there is a William Littlefield, age 42, born in Maine, occupation gardener; wife named Nellie, age38, born in MA. There is a William F Bickford, age 79, born 1821 in New Hampshire, no occupation; and wife named Dolly E, age 83, born in MA; and daughter named Lizzie E Meserve, age 58, born 1842 in Maine. William F. Bickford-born 1820 in New Hampshire. May have been widowed by then. The William Bickford I am researching was Augusta's father. They lived in Maine for many years then just disappear, possibly to Massachusetts (if they are the same individuals who are reportedly in the 1900 census for Massachusetts).
