Hello Trish, I found only 3 Walter Hawes in all of 1930 Mass. One was 48 , living in Bedford with wife Edith and son David. Another was 21, living with his parents Albert and Grace in Everett. The third was 54, living as a lodger in Boston perhaps in a hotel (many lodgers). Looks like he was single, hard to read it. So I tried a soundex search for Walter Hawes in just Boston, and found one (Walter C. "Hewes" )who may be right, but different address. If he is the one, I can send more of the info. Walter C. Hewes, age 49, (illegible) job for Steam Railroad Mary E., 46, wife Dorothy F., 17, dau Marion G., 15, dau Mabel, 12, dau The address looks like 85 West ?Walter? Street.
