Thanks so much Jennifer. Our search is quite a complicated one. I found at aged 45 that I was adopted and found my birthname to be Mildare. Apparently my grandfather was an actor and made up the name Mildare - his birthname was Linseed. Ellis Island site reveals that he travelled to the US under his stage name. 1: (Chas Mildare) in 1893 as a US citizen (born 1866) 2: (Charles Mildare) in 1903 as an English cit. (born 1867) 3: (Charles Mildare) in 1905 as an English cit. (born 1867) We have found a Charles Linseed on 1910 census for NY (Manhattan) (English) age right for Charles Mildare. For the George Gerald Mildare, son of Charles Mildare, we have found that his mother appears to have been a Bertha Goulden from Boston MA. Hope this enables you to solve our riddle.
