    3. Thank you for your response. I have actually started doing that but it has been quite tedious. I am looking in Springfield and West Springfield and got through about 6,500 individuals in Springfield so far and have thousands more to go. Took a couple hours to get through the first bunch. Is this the way you did it? Did you do this through the computer or hard copy of the census? 3. Erin, First I looked through a city directory.Found out where they lived and went from there.I searced the census thru www.ancestry.com. . I was looking in Michigan,so I called the local library,to find out what ward the address I was searching was in. You can call the Boston Public Libray. They will do one look up for you,if they have the time. They will not do a census look up,but they will look in the old city directory for you.I'd ask for the year before and the year after the census. And remember wards change from census to census. Hope this helps.
