Would appreciate any help in trying to locate the movement of a James Joseph Bryne who married my Gr Aunt Mary Anne Evans in Newfoundland in July 1885. James was reported as being a saloon keeper with the last known residence of Boston, Ma. James was 31 at time of marriage, birth around 1854, place unknown. Mary Anne was born 1867, English Harbour West, Nfld. Her sister, Fanny Belle also married in July 1885 in Newfoundland. Her spouse, Lemuel Tucker, was from Gloucester. Both men were witnessess at each others wedding. I found that Lemuel was lost at sea in 1886. Fanny remarried in 1890, to Douglas McLean. I believe that both men may have been on the same ship in Newfoundland, and thus returned with their wives back to the US. To date, I can't find any reference to James Bryne and Mary Anne. Thank-you for your assistance, Dave Evans
