If so what about 1875 or 1885? Thank you in advance for any help. 3. There are a number of William Grays in 1850: 2 in Barnstable Co; 6 in Essex Co; 1 in Hampshire; 7 in Middlesex; 2 in Norfolk, 5 in Suffolk and 2 in Worcester. With middle initial A: 2 in Bristol Co; 1 Essex; 1 Franklin. B in Essex, C in Middlesex, D in Norfolk; E in Suffolk. H: 4 in Middleses, 1 in Norfolk, 1 Suffolk. L: 1 Berkshire 1 Worcester. R Hampden, W Worcester. Spelling it Grey adds 1 in Plymouth Co and a William S. Grey in Worcester. Perhaps some more identification for the William you want would help. 3. Carol, Thank you for your reply! Unfortunately the info I sent to the list is all I have. I am only going by the information contained in Anthony's military and pension record. There were no addresses included. I have conflicting reports of his birthdate, but I am hoping the age he gave when he enlisted was the most accurate and would have him born about 1850-1852. According to the record he was living in New Bedford at time of enlistment. Anthony is found in 1880 living in Gloucester, Essex CO married to a Phelan. Prior to 1880's census I have had a very difficult time finding the man at all. I appreciate you efforts and can be as patient as needed. If I should find the information earlier I will be sure to let you know. Sorry I can not provide more in the way of facts. But my grand dad had her maiden name as a middle name and it is in Montgomery County records as Annie (Anna P. Darrar.) So if she is born in about 1871 how do I find her parents in MA.
