Hi, I'm not sure if this is your family but it was the only one I found in Boston with both a father and son named Patrick Hickey. Patrick Hickey 35 M Ireland Laborer Mary Hickey 30 F Ireland Bridget 13? F Ireland - it's hard to tell if it's 13 or 23 or 73...and it doesn't give the relationship. Dennis 9 M Ireland Attended school with in the year. Patrick 4 M MA Michael 6 M MA William 1 month M MA Persons over 20 who could not read and write - both Patrick (father) and Mary were checked in this column. That's all there was, the census taker for this part of the city didn't even fill in all the information. Amber Northwind Gail wrote: > > Patrick Emmett. Hi Listers, Does anyone know which Census Records are indexed or is there a web site we can go to for this information. I just realized that the 1910 MA Census wasn't indexed. I always wondered why people didn't respond to questions about this Census and now I know there is a good reason. Looking something up for this year must be a long tedious job. Thank you to all that have answered my questions. Val

Subject: RITCHIES, BOSTON, MASS. ABT.1752-1755 Hello: Would someone out there be able to look up Andrew Ritchie, married to Margaret McNeish in Scotland. They came to Boston, Mass. with their first child, between 1752 and 1755. The rest of the children where born in Boston. He seems to have remained tn Boston until September 3, 1777, when he was denounced by the "Committee of Correspondence and Safety" as being "inimical to this State," after which he doubtless hastened to join his nephew at Annapolis, with his daughter and young children, but the two or three eldest sons probably remained and took some part in the war on the loyal side, for in the muster rolls of Loyalists and discharged soldiers as Annapolis taken between 18th and 24th June,1784, the following names appear as "Loyalists settled in Annapolis"; Andrew, Andrew 2nd, Thomas, Matthew, James, and John Ritchie. In some of the papers, it mentions Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts. In all of this there is no mention of his wife leaving with him. Did she pass away? What happened to her in Boston? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and trouble. Wendy Ontario, Canada chey@bconnex.net
Hello Would someone out there be able to look up Asa Morrill in the Worcester county or Middleboro MA 1880 census? A while back someone had told me the town he was listed in in this census but i seem to have misplaced it. Asa's wife's name was Abby or Abigail, and their child was Westbrook K. Morrill born 13 March 1876, he was born in Middleboro MA. I am looking for any info this census holds on this family including possible other children. I know this may be too broad of a search since i dont have the town, but i am very grateful to any help! :) Thanks so much in advance Heather _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

Hi People! Thanks Jen for the info on the Worcester directories... I really appreciate people out there like you who are so ready to share info and be so helpful. We can't find all these sites and info without help from others. Becky
I apologize for this message being off the topic of census lookups, but I noticed someone was doing marriage record lookups. If someone has the means to check on the following marriage for me, I would be forever grateful! Henry GREAVES married Anne RODGERS. They were living in Massachussetts at the time of the birth of their first child, Mary Ann Greaves, who was born about 1872. Unfortunately, I have no idea what county. Thank you so very much! Hi Amber and List, I was trying to do too many things at once and hit send before the email was finished. It was meant to thank "ethelind@earthlink.net" for the following info: <<<<The 1850 census for Taunton has: Elijah J. Caswell, 41, nailor, b. MA Elizabeth S. (or L.) ", 35, b. MA Elizabeth P. :, 1, b. MA Elijah ", 73, b. MA Middleboro(ugh) has Elijah Caswell, 45, shovel maker, b. MA Eunice R. ", 41, b. MA Otis W. ", 21, laborer Barbara ", 20 Lucinda M. ", 19 Elijah Jr ", 17, laborer William H. ", 15, laborer Lambert O. ", 13 Horatio 2nd ", 10 Euncie R. ", 8 Harriet Z? or B ", 6 Edward A. :", 1>>>> I believe that the Middleboro Elijah was my ggg-grandfather, but he's also my brick wall. Elijah is a popular Caswell -Taunton, MA name for the early 1800s. Hopefully, I will eventually find the birth record of the one born in 1805, and yes, I'm hoping that there WAS only one born that year in the Taunton area... If anybody has any more information on my Elijah, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks again, Judy Caswell
