    3. Hi Patti, There is a Thomas Gray in the 1900 Webster, Worcester County, MA census. He was living on Elm St., was born April 1843 in New York and he was listed as working in a Nailing Machine shop. Both parents were listed as having been born in New York. Could this be your Thomas Gray? 1. [MA-CENSUS] Edward Gray-1860 Worcester County
    2. Hi Sue, Thanks for the help. I guess the one that would be most likely to be "my Edward" would be if any of the towns you mentioned are closer or closer to Worcester (the town) than the others. Edward and Ellen's son Thomas turns up in Worcester in 1863 (and appears to be alone-according to the city directory)at age 15. He enlisted in the civil war while living in Worcester the next year at age 16. I thought I would post it here in case you aren't familiar with the area (nor I) to know which towns are closer. I thought maybe someone might chime in and help out with locations. Have a nice Easter everyone! Patti Orlando, Fl There are several Edward Grays in Massachusetts in the 1860 census - three in Boston, one in Kingston, one in West Roxbury, and one in Gloucester. Let me know if you would like page numbers for any of these. I have the index, not the actual census. Sue Renkert Fairbanks, Alaska

    3. Here's my first submission to this list. Hope someone can help me. I have found several entries in the 1860 Boston census that COULD be the ancestor I'm looking for. Unlike later census, I found the 1860 does not list the street but identifies the house number and family number for the particular enumeration district. Is there a guide to which area/neighborhood constituted which enumeration district? Is there some way to determine what streets may have been included in certain EDs? Thanks in advance for any help.
