    1. [MA-CENSUS] RE: Demers
    2. Nancy M. Atkinson
    3. Hello Diego, If William Demers was born in New Hampshire then his parents Noe and Adeline most likely lived there. You should try the American Canadian Genealogical Society located in Manchester, NH. They have a website describing some of their holdings, research services for members of the Society and even publications for sale. http://www.acgs.org/ Good Luck! Nancy -----Original Message----- From: Laurie Lee [mailto:la2u@webtv.net] Sent: Sunday, June 03, 2001 2:03 AM To: MA-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [MA-CENSUS] Demers Hello. I am new to this list and am hoping I am in the right place! I am looking for any information on my grandfather, William Joseph Demers b. 6-6-1895 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was married in Holyoke, MA 8-5-1917 to Eva Blanch Fournier. His children were born in: Holyoke, Leeds, and Springfield. His father was Noe Demers m. Adeline DesLauriers (I think both from Canada). I cannot find a thing on William or Noe Demers, yet I know they lived in Mass. from early 1900's - 1960's. Is there anyone that can help me out or point me in the right direction??? Thank you so much for any advise or help you can give me. Laurie in San Diego la2u@webtv.net

    3. I would appreciate a lookup for Annie FRISBIE & her daughter, Millie who lived in Gloucester. I remember Millie as a middle-age "aunt" in the 1940's. Perhaps the 1880 census would also be productive. Thank You, Phillip

    3. Hi Nancy. Thanks so much for the advice!! I have tried a few places on the web in NH, but still have found nothing. I will check out the address you sent me. My mother just recently found information in her old papers that say William was born in NH so I am sure I am going to be looking for anything in Manchester. The address you sent is a great start!!! Thanks again, Laurie in San Diego

I am in CA & my local LDS library does not have the Soundex films, and I fear I shall have to really search for this lady. Would SKS please look up the family of Patrick & Nora LANE in Mass? This is what we have conjectured: Nora MADDICKS or ROBERTS was born in Newfoundland (maybe NS?) around 1880 to 1885. Her brother, Clarence Roberts, came to MA in 1901. We think she married Patrick LANE around 1906. One of her children was Nellie (probably Helen Lane), born around 1910. Thank you so much for this lookup. Candi in CA--hot as blazes these days!
