Thanks for the reply and the leads - I'll check more of the films. Ann
No Asa J or Mary Ann Draper listed in 1880 census. Do you have estimated dob and/or pob. This might help narrow down 530 plus Drapers in Massachusetts in 1880 census.
Can someone do a lookup for me for Asa J. DRAPER and wife Mary Ann for 1880. They may have been in Worcester County. Thank you in advance, April
Yes I have 1880 census on CD. For whom are you looking?
Hi- Can I request a lookup for Jeremiah McCarthy? Here's what I have: Jeremiah McCarthy, b. Ireland, circa 1813 Occupation - tailor &/or pressman Probable location - Boston area - If I could have his year of immigration [after 1845], and anyone else in the home, it'll be a huge help. Thanks, Ann Wheeler awheel@dcdi.net
Does anyone have or have access to the 1880 Census on CD put out by the LDS? Jen
Erin: I'm sure you've be inundated with requests for lookups at this point, but I too would like to request a lookup. I am searching for William JOHNSON, who I believe was living with his daughter, Marion in Revere, MA at the time of the 1900 census. I do not know Marion's married name or even if she was married. William was born in Quebec, Canada. Thank you in advance for your efforts for myself, as well as all the others you've helped. Jennifer
Would someone please look up Patrick Cannon in the 1860 Fed census 5th Ward Boston Suffolk County MA page 427 index MA17310932. Thank you for your time.
Erin: Would you be so kind as to check on the 1900 census for JAMES LITTLETON would be either Suffolk or Plymouth {they moved from Suffolk to Plymouth but I am not sure just when}His wife was Martha L., not sure about children. Many thanks. Evelynn
Erin, I appreciate you looking for me. Is your census info only indexed by head of household? I am wondering if maybe they were living with someone else at the time. They were around that area from 1880-1914. Thank you, April
Hi Erin, can you help me? I am looking for a lookup in 1900 for Clifford SHAW and his wife Ellen (Nellie) SHAW. They may have been around Jersey City, NJ or NYC. Both would be around 55 yrs old. Thank you, April Crisafulli
I found an Ellen Campbell living with her son in law William Gulick and his wife? She was born in 1835 in Canada... father born in England? I have a Sarah Bennett on my family tree she married Daniel Cook about 1798. That does not answer your query, but, I just thought it was interesting......Zoelog
Erin, First I looked through a city directory.Found out where they lived and went from there.I searced the census thru www.ancestry.com. . I was looking in Michigan,so I called the local library,to find out what ward the address I was searching was in. You can call the Boston Public Libray. They will do one look up for you,if they have the time. They will not do a census look up,but they will look in the old city directory for you.I'd ask for the year before and the year after the census. And remember wards change from census to census. Hope this helps. Erin, I would like to take you up on your offer of a look up in your 1900 census data. I have been unable to locate a Mrs Ellen CAMPBELL, b Newfoundland about 1850. She was actually the mother of Peter CORBIN, who came to Boston alone in 1888, at the age of 17. I could not find her with her son, but she lived in Boston or Malden or somewhere close there for sure. (maybe a widow about 50 years old?) Thanks, Candi
Thank you for your response. I have actually started doing that but it has been quite tedious. I am looking in Springfield and West Springfield and got through about 6,500 individuals in Springfield so far and have thousands more to go. Took a couple hours to get through the first bunch. Is this the way you did it? Did you do this through the computer or hard copy of the census? Erin, Sometimes you have to search the census by hand..I found my family in the 1900,1910 and 1920 census not my name but by where they lived. In each census they had a different last name. The first time they used a middle name as the last name, the second they used a maiden name and the third time they used there real last name.So I had to look through the census page by page. Hope this helps you. Hello Erin, I would love to take you up on your offer. If you wouldn't mind I would like to find out if the Bennett family was living at 5 Harvest St. Boston, Mass at that time. I'm looking for William and Sarah Elizabeth Bennett and family. If you could tell me who occupied the address it would be greatly appreciated.
