Nancy, Thank you for checking. Alice GAGNON was born in 1907, so she would be about 23. I don't know if she and Edward FOLEY were married in 1930 or not. Edward Foley and Alice Gagnon were my mother's uncle and aunt. My mother was born in Worcester in 1934. She told me that when she was young, her family had lived for a time in Oakham with the Foleys. So, maybe they were not living there in 1930. I was hoping it would be easy to find them. Thanks for trying. I couldn't find him on the US census. 1930 may not as yet be complete on my source. I did find him in the 1881 Canadian census, spelled FERGUSSON. All censuses taken after 1930 are still confidential and the information they contain is not open to the public. The census from 1790 through 1840 only named the head of the household and the numbers of people in categories - 3 males over 16, 2 males under 16, etc. The census from 1850 through 1930 lists each member of the household and usually gives the relationship to the head of the house. It also gives age (later years give birth month and year) and place of birth (usually just the state or foreign country). The 1890 census was almost totally destroyed by fire so there is a 20 year gap between 1880 and 1900. > CENSUS LOOKUPS HOME PAGE http://www.rootsweb.com/~censlook/ > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 >
