If they are the same people I am researching then I can rent the microfilm to look at their census entry. Augusta E. Littlefield-born about 1843 in Maine. Would have been listed as a widow. William F. Bickford-born 1820 in New Hampshire. May have been widowed by then. The William Bickford I am researching was Augusta's father. They lived in Maine for many years then just disappear, possibly to Massachusetts (if they are the same individuals who are reportedly in the 1900 census for Massachusetts). Would someone with access to the 1920 Federal Census check for a Jennie Costello who would have been single and living in Wilbraham or Ludlow in Hampden County. Jennie would have been about 25 at the time of the 1920 Census. Thanks in advance for the help. Ed O'Connor Hudson,MA

Hello Trish, I found only 3 Walter Hawes in all of 1930 Mass. One was 48 , living in Bedford with wife Edith and son David. Another was 21, living with his parents Albert and Grace in Everett. The third was 54, living as a lodger in Boston perhaps in a hotel (many lodgers). Looks like he was single, hard to read it. So I tried a soundex search for Walter Hawes in just Boston, and found one (Walter C. "Hewes" )who may be right, but different address. If he is the one, I can send more of the info. Walter C. Hewes, age 49, (illegible) job for Steam Railroad Mary E., 46, wife Dorothy F., 17, dau Marion G., 15, dau Mabel, 12, dau The address looks like 85 West ?Walter? Street. I looked at a couple of the previous pages, and it is blurry on them too. ~Nancy ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, November 19, 2003 12:02 PM Subject: [MA-CENSUS-LOOKUP] Suffolk/1930/HAWES > November 19, 2003 > > Would appreciate a lookup on the following: > > Walter HAWES at 45 Gates Street, South Boston, MA > Wife: Mary > > Thank you. > > Trish Lange > Gardena, CA > > > ==== MA-CENSUS-LOOKUP Mailing List ==== > NOTICE: The posting of any emails other than a lookup request or reply to a lookup request are NOT ALLOWED and may result in immediate removal from this list > CENSUS LOOKUPS HOME PAGE http://www.rootsweb.com/~censlook/ > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 >
