    3. Lol, Jennifer! I recently learned of a Jones ancestor in my family tree. I believe it is through Anne Washington, who was an aunt of George Washington, the President. That would be through my mother's father's ancestry. I think Mary Jones was Anne's mother, if I am not mistaken. Simone JHL1188@aol.com wrote: And with names like those, Samuel's children, they shouldn't be hard to find... Wouldn't that be something, the Mayflower connection... I did check out Maine just to see if James may have been up there at all, and there were tons of Coombs, etc....almost as many as my Joneses! LOL All the best, Jennifer In a message dated 2/24/2005 10:30:59 PM Eastern Standard Time, hatsandhandfans@yahoo.com writes: That's great info, Jennifer, and fun to know that some descendants might still be around to meet... I received this interesting message from a genealogist. It may help me take this Coombes line farther back: "There are two distinctly different Coombs families. 3. Sometime between the 1880 census and the 1900 one James W. had moved to the Ellensburg, Washington, area. It is still a mystery how he met and married Daisy Pearl Gray. She was from Shell Knob, Missouri, and must have moved to Washington State sometime around the turn of the century. The story goes that they met at a Boarding House in Washington, but that is all I have learned so far. Daisy's father (Homer Gray) was an itinerant preacher, and I have found some info on him. Daisy trained under James W. and became a sanipractor/magnetic healer, too. I have found physicians' licenses for both of them in the Washington State archives. 2. That's certainly possible..I looked for him in alone in the 1870. There were a couple John's but the ages were a bit off. and there would be no way to know how to connect them..would there? Yes, I thought that Julia could be a married sister, with so many in that household maybe young Elizabeth was with the grandparents. Do you know what the "R" for Elizabeth R. stood for? I'll see what else I can find.. 3. Interesting! I wonder whether the little Elizabeth was living with grandparents, and that the Kenneys are older Elizabeth's parents? And maybe Julia could be a widowed sister? 2. I have conflicting information for John Hall b. 1675 or 1676 in either Scituate or Marshfield. Is there any way for me to get that checked out? He married Abigail White 27 Feb 1705. Also, I have one source that says his father was Timothy born in Scituate - but I have never been able to find anything like that. Thanks. Bonnie
