Hi List, I am trying to trace George McGREGOR, the son of Donald McGREGOR and Margaret COCKER, b 8 March 1854, Fyvie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. There is no trace of him on-line in the IGI 1881 British census but there is a record in the 1880 census for Pittsfield, Berkshire MA that looks promising. I would be grateful for any follow up that might prove or disprove this link. Thanks. Peter South Wales UK [Scanned by Norton AntiVirus]

I hope I am doing this right and not asking for too much. Can someone kindly do a few birth look up for Me? Alice E McKIRDY according to her record of marriage she was born in Boston, Ma. Her parents are Robert A and Bridget (McNulty). I believe she would have born sometime about 1858, (this according to her record of death.) Her marriage record indicates maybe 1866. I believe I also found her in the 1870 Census, but she and her siblings are NOT living with her parents. She was living with a woman who is age 25 Alice Mulcany. . But I am so very curious about the 3 other children with the McKIRDY last name in the household too. They are Grace (10), Robert (8), Henry (6). All state that these children were born in MASS also I am hoping maybe the parents of these other children are listed so maybe I can confirm they belong to the same family. Thank you ahead of time. I am doing this for an 80 year old friend and his memory is dim about this but here you go. One family story says that Michael was from Ireland and Annie was from France. Another says Michael was from Newport Rhode Island and Annie was from England, and yet another says he was a mill worker or mule skinner at one time and may have left the family by 1900 with Annie alone with the children. That is all I know. Thank you for the list information. That is the address I keep trying but in caps so I will try again. Also have had my Internet provider on the case for a week. Hi Simone, Great news form the town clerk! Remember even though the census said Elizabeth R it could have been a B mistranscribed as a R as they didn't catch the bottom curl of the letter. It happens often, as there is overwriting on the images or fade outs, etc. Thanks for the offer of help for my Joneses, however they are all from North Wales... Just for searching sake, I think I found another of John B's sons, Samuel..in 1900...and the name of his first son ring's a bell but not the right age...perhaps it was a family name? Although it's indexed Samuel H. it appears to be an A. on the image..or it's just a coincidence... What a find! Thanks so much. And it has the correct "Coombes" spelling, too. Good to know he had a life before becoming mentally ill. I figure young James W. went into medicine as a profession as a reaction to his father having been sick. He probably wanted to help people, or he may have seen his father become mentally ill after some sort of medical treatment. Maybe drugs through the father over the edge? I'm still trying to figure out what school James W. attended to become a sanipractor/magnetic healer? We have heard it was in Maine, but we were unable to earth the diploma which gives the name of the school yet. Will keep looking in storage for it. The school might have been in Massachusetts, instead of Maine. Have you ever heard of one having been located in the Abington area? Simone, Glad it was them... Remind me...did you find James W. in the 1900 and 1910? I think you had him in the 1920 but I can't remember where, and the spelling, and I've lost my old emails. Sorry, I'm not familiar with the Abington area.... Jennifer In a message dated 2/24/2005 7:23:58 PM Eastern Standard Time, hatsandhandfans@yahoo.com writes: Jennifer, Wow! What a find!
