It appears they are listed as Mulatto. In 1910, Jane has Virginia as the birthplace of her parents, but in 1920 it is listed as South Carolina. Anyhow, she was born in Mass. Well, I looked up Ward St. on Mapquest and bingo! The area there is called Tuttleville. I am looking on the map for cemeteries near Ward St. The closest one in Hingham appears to be High St. Cemetery, however just on the Weymouth line is Fairmount Cemetery, which is actually physically closer to where they lived, so if you don't find them in Hingham you may want to try there. The only listing in Hingham for a cemetery I get in the Yellow Pages is: Hingham Cemetery/40 Water St./Zip: 02043/Tel. 781-749-1048. The listing for Fairmount Cem. in Weymouth: 126 Cedar St./Zip: 02189/Tel. 781-335-3223. My guess is that if Martha died elsewhere but was buried in Hingham, it must be with her daughter...hopefu! lly! It appears that Jane is widowed in 1930. Still on Ward St. age 62. 1880 Boston Census shows Martha Heyward/Black Female age 45, Widowed, born S. C/parents born S. C. also there: Josiah W. Heyward, son, Mulatto, age 24 single, Doctor, b. MA/parents b. S. C. Jane Jackson, servant, Black Female, age 29 b. Nova Scotia I have one more source I can check...but for now I hope this helps. Lisa N. D. Heyward, son, Mulatto, age 19 single, b. MA J. B. Heyward, dau, Mulatto, age 14 single, At School b. MA The address appears to be 10 Strong Place.
