    1. Re: Webster, Worcester Co (Baxter, Broadbent, Saville)
    2. Hi Debi, Yes, this is my family. Thank you! This has been a difficult and complicated line, but to give you a little more information on the family the other surnames are Saville and Broadbent. Since this is complicate I will try keep it as brief as possible. My gggrandparents are Benjamin Baxter b. Feb 09, 1832 England who m. Mrs. Grace (Robinson) Saville b. 1835 England - only known child William Henry Baxter b. Jun 18, 1867 Webster. Benjamin who died in 1865 would most likely be their son. I don't have any information on the Benjamin's parents or siblings except from Civil War records stating his parents were Fredrick Baxter and Ellen Townsend. They could have died in NH, MA, as I first found Benjamin in 1860 NH Rockingham Co., Exeter and then again in 1860 Amesbury when he first enlisted in the Civil War. Just to add a little interest.... In Benjamin's second enlistment he served with the MA 2nd Heavy Artillery and was a survivor of Andersonville Prison. Grace (Robinson) Saville Baxter first married, bef. 1853 probably in Millsbury or Webster to James Saville. Their only known children are Charles b. 1853-54 MA and Anna b. abt 1858 MA. They were probably b. in Millsbury or Webster. Grace and James were in Webster in 1860. James went back to England and died in 1862. If you see anything on the Broadbent's, I would be very interested. Grace's mother, Mary (Jackson) Robinson, remarried (probably in England) to John Broadbent. They were in Millsbury 1850 and Amesbury in 1860. They had 2 known children, one probably born in Millbury, Robert b. 1848, and a dau. Ann b. 1845 England. By 1870 the Baxter's were in Thompson, Windham Co., CT and by 1876 they were in MN. Thank you so much for your help! Kind regards and Happy Easter!
