Sandy, would David Lambert's book that you refer to in your reply to Peg include any mention of cemeteries in the vicinity of in Needham, Mass. in 1878. My grandfather's first wife died then and was buried in some cemetery that was still in existence in 1910 when her daughter died in California. My uncle had his sister's body sent to Massachusetts according to the mortuary who had received her body. I assume it was so she could be buried with her mother. If this reference has any such places, I have the dates of death of both women and would like to write to the various cemeteries to see what I can find out. So many thanks for your help. Transcriptions for both cemeteries are located in the NEHGS manuscript collection in Boston. There are no Ashburnham cemeteries earlier than these two. > Sandy > > > > ==== MA-CEMETERIES Mailing List ==== > If you wish to unsubscribe from the Massachusetts Cemetery list, send only the word > UNSUBSCRIBE to MA-CEMETERIES-l-request@rootsweb.com or if you are on the Digest List > to MA-CEMETERIES-d-request@rootsweb.com > > ============================== > Gain access to over two billion names including the new Immigration > Collection with an Ancestry.com free trial.
