    3. I don't think there is any such central cemetery directory or if there is I would certainly like to know about it. There's always Find-A-Grave, but it is not at all complete: http://www.findagrave.com/ Do you have any clues as to where Elizabeth Ahearn would have lived? Where was she born? Where was she married? If she died in Massachusetts, you should be able to get a copy of her death certificate from the state Registry of Vital Statistics for $22 http://www.state.ma.us/dph/bhsre/rvr/vrcopies.htm I think with the name and date of death they can probably find it for you. Then the death certificate will tell you what cemetery.
