My ancestor died at Rowley, MA 1732 and was buried at the Old Cemetery at Bradford, MA. Is there any information available on this cemetery? Where? thanks, Charles
From <A Guide to Cemetaries in New England>, published by the Essex Society of Genealogists: Bradford Burial Ground 1665 - 1975 (also called Old Bradford Burial Ground) Location: 273 Salem St, Bradford section of Haverhill. Salem St is off South Main St (Rte 125) at the Bradford Common. Cemetary is on the left, 1 mile. Opposite the Bradford House Caretaker: Owned, but not maintained by City of Haverhill Description: Small, with stone wall and stairs. Sign in front. No continuous maintenance. A Boy Scout Troop cleaned it up in 1973. Not in use today. Rev. War Vets, graves of early settlers of Bradford. Widely known as burial ground of Hon. Nathaniel Thurston and 6 of his 7 wives.
