    3. You might want to start by having the death record located at the state vital records offcie in Dorchester. Since Mass records are open, perhaps a volunteer can find the record for you. I checked on the RAOGK website at http://RAOGK.org and found the following information. Try contacting Chandra (after reading the RAOGK guidelines) to see if she can help. If not, perhaps another listed volunteer can help. Good luck! Debi C. Bristol, RI From RAOGK: Chandra Lambiase chandra711@aol.com Still photos of tombstones and Public Records lookups and copying. I am available to do look ups at State and National Archives as well as state vital records office. I can visit cemetaries in Eastern Mass only. 3. Update - Thanks to the very kind assistance of a neighboring homeowner, I have found the Darling Repose Cemetery and have photographed the headstones for Leonard and Relief [Morse] Darling. Also, Leonard's sister, Elizabeth Warfield is buried in this location. If anyone is interested in directions, I can possibly provided a pretty good description of how to find the cemetery. Thanks so much to all who provided input, and especially to the unnamed neighbor who helped me to find my ancestors. Debi C. James Davis died 1814 in Princeton, Ma Simon Davos died in Princeton in 29 Jan 1828 His wife Lucretia Davis wadired prior to 1792 in Hubbardston. Oliver Davis was buried June 1803 in Princeton His Wife Mary Read was buried 1 Sept 1811 in Pinceton. Eleazer Davis was buried october 1831 in Holden, MA His wife Sarah Ward died 11 July 1825 in Holden MA. She was 97 years old. Since I live in the West, I am unable to go out there and do the research on these people. If anyone can assist me in any way, and with any further written information of these people, it would be greatly appreciated. I do not even know where to start looking for the cemeteries, let alone obtain pictures of their headstones. HELP! Please! Thanks, Lue

    3. Darlene, If the cemetery to which you refer is the Darling Family Cemetery off of Millville Road in southeastern Uxbridge, then it should be the one I am looking for! I would love to see the photos you have, and would also very much like to visit the cemetery myself. Do you have any notes as to the house it is behind that would help me find it? As to your photos, do you have Leonard Darling, his wife Relief, or son John? How about a Katie/Katherine Darling Brown? Thanks so much for your reply. 2. I apologise for the late response. My PC has been in the shop more than out lately! If this is the same cemetary that I'm thinking of, then it is located up behind someones house. He has a pool behind his house and beyond that is a path through the woods that leads into the cemetary. The cemetary itself is small. It is the Darling Family Cemetary. This sounds like the one I've been to and tried to get digital photos of the headstones. Many were very old and not very readable. I still have a lot to learn! But I saved the them all anyway. Let me know if I can be of any help with photos I do have. Darlene

    3. No problem, Debi. I would do it today, but I work on Saturdays from 3:00-10:00. And this morning I'm having my car fixed. It's a short drive for me to check that out, so it's no problem. I hope I'm wrong. I just thought it looked very strange when I noticed that before. St. Patrick's Cemetery isn't on Spring Street, if you're talking about Northbridge. I believe that is on Route 122, not far from Walmart plaza. Spring Street is a very short, residential street near the center of town. No cemeteries on it that I know of. 3. Several months ago I was driving past that area on Route 122--a street I've been down many times before. I noticed something strange about the old cemetery there. It looked like they were taking the stones down! I questioned this (to myself) but kept on driving. I'm not sure, but I think the reason you can't find that cemetery is because they have done something with it! It used to be quite visible. I know I didn't make myself clear here. I just wanted to tell you that I saw what looked to be the removal of that cemetery just several months ago! Also, it is refernced on the Uxbridge Town Records compilations of births, marriages, and deaths. I tried stopping at the town hall in Uxbridge, and was given a line drawn map. The map seems to verify that the cemtery is on the western side of Millville Road in the far eastern side of Uxbridge, just before Millville Road passes into Millville. 1. Re: Re: [MA-CEM] DARLING REPOSE CEMETERY
    2. Eden, Thanks for the suggestion. I should have included in my original message that the town of Uxbridge, MA does include "Darling" cemetery (#5) in its list of historic cemeteries. Even though I searched a bit through the area, however, I did not yet find the cemetery. Hence the question. Hope I get lucky, and someone knows the trick to finding it. Debi C.
