Tee, Did you call the 2 towns to find out where he exactly did die and the death certificate should hopefully list where he is buried. Joanne
I believe he died in North Adams . Around 1912 -1913 I know he was only 3 or 4 yrs old . Thanks so much for the help . Tee
Well, the first thing you should do is have someone search the MA death indicies for this child. The records here are usually very good at listing place of burial. Also, the book "A Guide to Massachusetts Cemeteries" by David Allen Lambert lists cemeteries by town, with telephone # -- I can't remember which towns you said you believed he may have died in. If you resend them, I can give you a listing of the cemeteries if you do not have the book. -----Original Message----- From: tee [mailto:dreamweaver@cisbec.net] Sent: Tuesday, April 01, 2003 5:14 PM To: MA-CEMETERIES-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [MA-CEM] thomas a. dennison No I don't . Do you have the death certificate? The cemetery is usually listed on the death certificate. -----Original Message----- From: tee [mailto:dreamweaver@cisbec.net] Sent: Tuesday, April 01, 2003 2:36 PM To: MA-CEMETERIES-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [MA-CEM] thomas a. dennison Can someone help me find the burial place of a Thomas a Dennison , child he was born in late 1909 early 1910. Hi Friends, I'm pleased to announce a new list called First Ships. http://www.mdwsweb.com/genealogy-lists/firstshipslist.html From the description at the list home page: --- This list is for research and sharing of information on those people who came to New England on the first ships, their lives, why they came here, their ancestors and descendants wherever they may be, as well as those who married into these families. The ships include the Mayflower, the Fortune, the Anne and the Little James. There are many mailing lists focusing on the individual surnames of many of these people but this list brings them together so we can study them as a group, as family units, and as individuals. Feel free to create a database to share your information; use the files area to upload your gedcom or other genealogical or historical document; the photos area to display your ancestors connected with these lines or artwork relating to early colonial New England; and the links area to promote your favorite websites. And of course I encourage all to participate in the daily discussions. --- I'm very excited about the future of the FirstShips list and I expect it will be a great success. There are many discussion areas for Mayflower descendants and I felt there was a need for a list to discuss all the people of that group who first came to New England including those who came on The Fortune, The Anne and The Little James. Thus this list was created. Go to http://www.mdwsweb.com/genealogy-lists/firstshipslist.html for sign up information. David FirstShips listowner Permission is granted to forward this message to anyone you think might be interested.

Dear List Members, If you are interested in knowing about other mailing list out there, one of the very best inventories of genealogical mailing lists is John Fullers Genealogy Resources on the Internet located at http://www.rootsweb.com/~jfuller/gen_mail.html If you ever need to unsubscribe from this list or any rootsweb list all you need to do is visit Password Central located at http://passwordcentral.rootsweb.com/ Follow the instructions and you will received an e-mail of all lists you belong to and from it you can unsubscribe from the ones you want to. Always know that I will be more than happy to help you if you are having problems unsubscribing, you only need to ask. Please send this request to KathleenBurnett@earthlink.net not to the entire list. If you would like to visit the archived messages of this list or any other Rootsweb mailing list, go to http://archiver.rootsweb.com/ and type in the name of the list you would like to search and from there you can search by dates. There are a few items I would like to suggest for the benefit of each of us. 1. When sending a posting to the list it would help if you would put the subject of your posting in the subject line. Doing this also might give you a better chance to attract the attention of someone who has the information you are looking for or the attention of someone who is searching for the information you are posting. Many members are on many many lists and when they see a subject line that reads "My Ancestors" they just delete it. 2. When posting a query regarding a surname it would help all of us if you would put your surname in CAPS. This way the members can easily pick out the surnames you are looking for. 3. Please remember to delete the tags and un-needed words when you re-send a message to the list with your answer. If you don't check this, your responses can become quite large and may cause problems with some of our member's servers. This member who might not be able to receive your message because of its size, just might be your long lost second cousin with all the answers you are looking for. 5. Remember to keep your Virus protection up to date and never open any attached file unless you are 100% sure what it is and even then you are taking a chance. 6. Now, the hardest thing is, when one of our own, a fellow member becomes upset about a posting from one of us. It is so hard not to jump in and add our two cents when they send their unhappiness to the entire list. I want you to know how much I appreciate it when you just let these posting go by and delete them. Know that I am behind the scenes taking care of the problem. If you ever have a concern that I might have missed a message that needs addressed you are welcome to contact me during the day at Kathleen.burnett@era.com or in the evenings at KathleenBurnett@earthlink.net. Please remember, so that this list is better for each of us, the posting of virus warnings, test messages, chain letters, political announcements, current events, items for sale, personal messages, flames, etc., in other words Spam is NOT ALLOWED and will be grounds for removal. Consideration for exceptions, contact me at KathleenBurnett@earthlink.net I want to thank each of you for your continued support of me and your willingness to help make this list the success it is. It is your list and is here for your benefit. If you have suggestions or comments you would like in future reports, you only need to send them to me. Hello. I am trying to find out where my grgrgrandfather is buried, I have been searching for four years with no luck. Michael died on May 15, 1851 in Boston MA. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Best wishes. Bob.
Dear List Members, I look forward to the year 2003 being a great one for our list. Because of the amount new members we have subscribing every day, I feel it is time to again post the suggested rules of the list...even us long time members need reminding once in a while. 1 I have very few rules on the lists I watch over. The main one is to treat your fellow members as you would like to be treated. Also the posting of virus warnings, test messages, chain letters, political announcements, current events, items for sale, personal messages, flames, etc. (in other words - spam) is NOT ALLOWED and will be grounds for removal. Consideration for exceptions, contact me Kathleen Burnett KathleenBurnett@earthlink.net 2. If someone posts a message to the list that should not have been posted, please just delete it. Know that I am taking care of the problem. When you post your unhappiness, then you just continue on the problem. I know it is hard when your heart has been offended, but for my sake, and the sake of the list, please just delete it. Rootsweb has a wonderful Spam Detective and it stops most of it. You should see what comes across my screen. I have to look at each of them to make sure that what was stopped was truly Spam. Once in a while, one slips by though and if this happens, just delete it and go on with what we all love, genealogical research. Some suggestions to make our list run smoother are: 1. If you would put information such as names, places, and dates relating to your posting, in the subject line, it might give you a better chance to attract the attention of someone who has the information you are looking for or the attention of someone who is searching for the information you are posting. 2. Please remember to delete the taglines and un-needed words when you re-send a message to the list with your answer. If you don't check this, your responses can become quite large and may cause problems with some of our member's servers. This member who might not be able to receive your message because of its size, just might be your long lost second cousin with all the answers you are looking for. 3. Remember to keep your Virus protection up to date and never open any attached file unless you are 100% sure what it is and even then you are taking a chance. If you do notice that one of our members has a virus, please do not post their name and e-mail address across the list. Let me know and I will take care of the problem. Most likely the member already knows and is in a major state of stress. Receiving messages of each of us will only cause his or her stress level to rise. 4. Please remember, we have members from all walks of life, all ages and all levels of education on our list. Be understanding. The very person who mis-spelled every other word in their posting could be the very one with your missing family bible in their attic. Some sites to remember: 1. There is a great Rootsweb site, Password Central, you can go to if You want to find out what Rootsweb lists you are a member of or need to unsubscribe from a list, just follow the instructions. http://passwordcentral.rootsweb.com/ 2. If you would like to visit the archived messages for this list you may go to http://archiver.rootsweb.com/ and type in the name of the list you want to see the archives for. From there you can search by date. 3.
