Lyerly (Leyrle, Layrle). I take my notes from a transcript written by John Hubert Doty of Aurora, Colorado. My notes on J.C. Lyerly show that Adolph Nusemann was the name of the preacher that J.C. Lyerly brought back from Germany in 1773, from the Hanoverian Consistory of Germany. Your notes indicate that J.C.'s daughter Barbara would have been 20 years old at the time, and she married an Adolph Nussmann. My great-grandfather was Dr. Andrew Jackson Lyerly, b. 07-23-1865 and d.03-23-1929 and buried in Jonesboro cemetery in Jonesboro, Illinois. Andrew had a medical practice in Union County, Illinois. I am just getting started on my own geneology. I'm missing a few generations (and about 125 years) between Johann Christoph and Andrew. Thank you again for your piece of the puzzle. - Susan Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
