There are two reasons I believe this: 1. My father and his brother (the only Lyerly I ever met), both looked full-blooded Indian. 2. In the Lyerly family tree into from Ancestry.com there are a lot of Cherokee names like Adair, Alberty, Bushyhead, Wicket, Buffington, Bowles, Ratatling Gourd, Halfbreed, etc, etc. I just haven't able to make a direct connection where in the family they came into. I'm about ready to hire a professional geneaolgist to do it (I've only been at this for about a year, so still a baby at this).
