The Sarah Lyerly in the 1850 census is the widow of David Lyerly who died Jan 24 1849. Sarah is the daughter of Adam Cauble who is living with her and her two young sons in 1850. Sarah went on to marry Reason Wright and then Michael Kimmel. Sarah was born 30 Apr 1823 snd died 28 Apr 1862 And yes the transcribed entry for Joseph is indeed JASPER. His full name was Henry Jasper Lyerla born 13 Oct 1849; died 26 Jun 1938 in Belle Rive, Jefferson County, Illinois -- Death Certificate #0000065 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
